Generals died here during epic battles and sieges ; one of them is even taught in every good military school such as the United States Naval Academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Defenders built batteries, fortifications, bunkers and even a citadel in order to&nbsp;keep Quebec City. You\u2019re going to see some of these elements&nbsp;during this&nbsp;military history walking tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Quebec City has been&nbsp;involved in several of the famous wars of the past centuries :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the 30 Years\u2019 War with the Kirke Brothers and Champlain,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the War of the Grand Alliance with Phips and Frontenac,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the 7 Years\u2019 War (also known as French &amp; Indian War and The Conquest) with Wolfe and Montcalm,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the American Revolutionary War with Montgomery, Arnold (yes, Benedict Arnold !) and Carleton,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and even World War One and World War Two !<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019ll be surprised how, sometimes, fate is due to tiny details.
