class=\"wp-block-heading\">Physical exercises<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Take inspiration from the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.doublegv.com\/ggv\/battles\/Manual.html\" target=\"_blank\">British Manual of Exercise of 1764<\/a> and do some physical exercises, this will change from the age-old gym exercises.&nbsp;Instead of the rifle, use a broom (watch your ceiling) Thanks to <a href=\"https:\/\/micheltheveninhistorien.blogspot.com\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"Michel Thevenin (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"rank-math-link\">Michel Thevenin<\/a> who found that document.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ancestral recipes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Nothing beats a good meal, especially when you prepare it yourself.&nbsp;Here is a list of some old Quebec recipes, mythical, eternal, tasty (French only, but you could use Google Translate):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.recettesquebecoises.com\/recette\/3381-cretons-des-ursulines-de-quebec\" target=\"_blank\">cretons des Ursulines de Qu\u00e9bec<\/a>, spread it in the morning or for your sandwiches.<\/li><li>The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.recettesquebecoises.com\/recette\/8850-pate-chinois\" target=\"_blank\">p\u00e2t\u00e9 chinois<\/a>, easy to cook, inexpensive and nutritious, it is the ideal meal for any worker on the Canadian railroad &#8230; so at the time the Chinese, hence the name of this typically Quebec dish.<\/li><li>The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.recettesquebecoises.com\/recette\/977-tourtiere-au-poulet-et-au-porc-hache\" target=\"_blank\">tourti\u00e8re<\/a>, here in its chicken and pork version.<\/li><li>The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.recettesquebecoises.com\/recette\/1064-soupe-aux-pois-a-lancienne\" target=\"_blank\">soupe aux pois<\/a>, comforting and disconcertingly simple.<\/li><li>The <em>bines<\/em>, ou <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.recettesquebecoises.com\/recette\/1269-feves-au-lard-quebecois-du-bucheron\" target=\"_blank\">f\u00e8ves au lard<\/a>, to taste to celebrate the end of confinement.<\/li><li>The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.recettesquebecoises.com\/recette\/4257-grand-pere-au-sirop-derable\" target=\"_blank\">grand-p\u00e8res au sirop d&#8217;\u00e9rable<\/a> for dessert!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Bon app\u00e9tit. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ancestral gardening<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s time to prepare your vegetable garden, between organization and first sowing.&nbsp;Here is a list of some heritage plants to grow at home (home delivery of course):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Le <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.alsagarden.com\/en\/1549-1729-jerusalem-artichoke-violet-de-rennes-tubers.html\" target=\"_blank\">Jerusalem artichoke (Alsagarden, English)<\/a>, or Canadian truffle and <em>topinambour<\/em> in French, is a North American plant cultivated by the Native Americans and described by none other than Samuel de Champlain in 1605. Very easy to cultivate.&nbsp;Its French name (topinambour) refers to a Brazilian tribe.&nbsp;The plant had indeed been presented to the King of France in the same stride as Tupinambas or Topinamboux people arrived from Brazil &#8230;<\/li><li>The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ecoumene.com\/produit\/semences\/potageres\/courge-canada-crookneck-bio\/\" target=\"_blank\">Canada Crookneck squash (\u00c9coum\u00e8ne, French)<\/a>, cultivated by the Iroquois in the 18th century in particular.<\/li><li>The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ecoumene.com\/produit\/semences\/potageres\/citrouille-algonquian-bio\/\" target=\"_blank\">algonquian pumpkin (\u00c9coum\u00e8ne, French)<\/a>, cultivated by the Algonquins.<\/li><li>The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ecoumene.com\/produit\/semences\/potageres\/mais-abenaki-bio\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ab\u00e9naki Calais corn (\u00c9coum\u00e8ne, French)<\/a>, cultivated by the Abenaki, perfect for making semolina, flour or for decoration.<\/li><li>The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ecoumene.com\/produit\/semences\/potageres\/mais-iroquois-white-bio\/\" target=\"_blank\">Iroquois white corn (\u00c9coum\u00e8ne, French)<\/a>, grown by the Iroquois, ideal for making flour.<\/li><li>The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ecoumene.com\/produit\/semences\/potageres\/melon\/brode\/melon-oka-bio\/\" target=\"_blank\">Oka melon
